Restoring Function and Finish Throughout a Louisiana Home

From kitchen repairs to detailed interior touch-ups, this project focused on correcting unfinished work and restoring clean, functional spaces throughout the home.

Project Overview

This interior project involved a full-home refresh after previous repairs and partial renovations left several areas unfinished or improperly installed. While the home itself was in solid condition, a collection of small issues across multiple rooms was affecting both appearance and functionality.

Our goal was to bring everything together — making the home feel complete, consistent, and comfortable again.

Project Scope Overview

Like many homes that have gone through multiple updates over time, this one had several lingering issues:

•Cabinet doors and drawers that were misaligned and difficult to use
•Kitchen finishes that didn’t match due to incomplete previous work
•Drywall damage in common areas
•Loose or broken tile and mismatched grout
•Trim and baseboards that didn’t fully cover transitions
•Doors, fixtures, and accessories that were never properly installed

Individually, these items were small — but together they added up.

Our Repair and Restoration Process

•Leveled and adjusted all kitchen cabinet doors and drawers for smooth operation
•Upgraded standard cabinet hinges to soft-close hardware where applicable
•Sanded, primed, and painted all upper and lower kitchen cabinets in the homeowner’s selected color
Fully masked and protected the kitchen prior to paint application
•Installed new post-form Formica countertops
•Repaired damaged backsplash tile and blended repairs with existing finishes
•Completed drywall repairs in the dining room and hallway
•Touch-up painted repaired areas to match existing wall colors and textures
•Replaced missing outlet and switch plates throughout the home
•Ensured all electrical outlets and switches were properly secured
•Addressed trim and baseboard issues, including removal, reinstallation, caulking, and painting where coverage was inadequate
•Reset and properly installed vanity cabinets in both bathrooms, including trim and finishing
•Installed bathroom accessories, including towel bars and a grab bar in the master bathroom
•Replaced broken tile and reset loose tile, including shower tile affected by prior work
•Regrouted affected areas and steam cleaned and sealed all included grout
•Adjusted interior doors to ensure proper operation
•Installed new weatherstripping on exterior doors

Attention to Details Matter

Projects like this require more than just repairs — they require consistency and care. Every adjustment, finish, and installation was completed with the goal of making the work disappear, so nothing stood out as “patched” or out of place.

From paint and grout matching to clean trim lines and smooth cabinet operation, the details made the difference.

Final Results & Homeowner Walkthrough

Once the work was complete, we walked the homeowner through each area to ensure everything looked right and operated as expected. The homeowner was very pleased with the results, noting how the home now felt cohesive and intentional — with clean transitions, properly functioning fixtures, and a refreshed overall look.
