Patching, Painting, and a Perfect Match in Lafayette

One of our most recent customers was a great example of what we often see in homes that are in good shape but just need a little TLC. The home was located in Lafayette, LA, in the Pinhook Road area — a well-furnished four-bedroom, two-bath residence.

The homeowner had recently switched out his can lights for retrofit LEDs, which left small gaps around the fixtures. Our first task was to patch those areas and blend them back into the ceiling so you couldn’t tell they were ever there.

Our second task was repairing a section of drywall damaged by a burst pipe during last winter’s freeze. We cut out the bad spot, replaced it, and finished it smooth — leaving it as if the plumber had never been there.

The third task was patching the kitchen ceiling, where the homeowner had removed old fluorescent lighting to install modern LED fixtures.

While painting, we noticed the home actually had three paint colors instead of the two listed in the estimate. That meant an extra trip to Sherwin-Williams off Ambassador Caffery Parkway in Broussard to make sure every color matched perfectly.

Before painting, we masked and protected everything — floors, kitchen, bathroom, and hallway were all covered and contained.

When we finished, we walked the homeowner through the work. He couldn’t stop smiling and said it looked even better than he expected. He even left us a five-star review that same day.
